We currently seek the generous funding, donation and/or assistance of the following items:

Patient Care Based Items (No Specific Priority):

Stryker Stretcher: Stryker Stretchers are used to transport patients to different areas of the hospital. This item would be shared between the Surgery and Emergency Departments in the facility.  Wish List Amount: $7,200

EKG Machine: An EKG Machine, or Electrocardiogram, records the heart's electrical signals to determine whether the pattern is normal.  Wish List Amount: $4,000

AVOX 4000: The AVOX 4000 is used in the hospital laboratory to perform Carboxyhemoglobin test.  This test is used to determine if a patient has been exposed to carbon monoxide.  Wish List Amount: $7,500

Adjustable Patient Beds: To help prevent patient falls the Hospital would like additional adustable patient beds which are capable of being lowered all the way to the floor.  Ideally, the staff would like to have an additional ten beds.  Wish List Amount: $1,800 per bed.

 

Adaptive / Therapeutic Equipment for Long Term Care patients: Equipment to be used in the North Wing for Long Term Care patients.  Wish List Amount: $2,000

 

New Surgery Instrument Table, Case & Cabinets: Upgrade current equipment to use in the new surgery suite.  Current equipment is old and/or obsolete and in need of replacement.  Wish List Amount: $22,000

 

Physical Therapy Game Ready: QVMC does not currently have this equipment. Game Ready is to treat acute and chronic injury and assist in post-operative rehabilitation.  Many professional athletes and medical professionals choose Game Ready as a part of the RICE regimen because it uniquely combines adjustable cold and intermittent compression to deliver the two most difficult-to-manage aspects of RICE in one easy-to-use treatment system. The Control Unit features an easy-to-use interface, allowing therapist to quickly manage pressure level, temperature, and treatment time settings. The unit is completely portable and can be used at our facility or at local events. Wish List Amount: $4,000

Environment of Care Based Items (No Specific Priority):

New Computers & Misc Peripherals for the Medical Center: Upgrade current systems from the W98 platform and improve overall efficiencies and compatibility with other medical center stations and facilities.  QVMC is working on cycling it's computers every 12 years. With the current amount of users that translates to replacing 12 computers/year.  Wish List Amount: $900 per computer.

 

New Medical Center Signage: Replace all hospital external and internal signage. Create bilingual translations, provide better direction within the facility and replace the main sign at the highway. Wish List Amount: $20,000

Fire Protection for Software & Specific Records: Purchase and install fire protection filing cabinets for all QVMC software and specific records storage.  Wish List Amount: $5,000

 

Counter Top Deep Fryer: Aid in food preparation. QVMC currently does not have an efficient method to frying foods and meals during food preparation.  Wish List Amount: $3,000

 

2 animated doe deer & outdoor timer unit for the Memory Garden: The Memory Garden was developed in 2008 for the enjoyment of our patients and families. We would like to add these animated light up deer to the garden for the patients' viewing pleasure.  Wish List Amount: $75

 

Lab Condensing Coil (Lab Cooling System): Replace the original lab cooling system with a newer, modern and cost saving cooling system. This machine is currently not meeting cooling needs for the lab.  Wish List Amount: $70,000

 

 

Medical Center Facilities Truck: QVMC is in need of a new or used truck for the facilities department. The current 1970's van can not accommodate the transportation of equipment, removal of landscaping and/or hauling material required for day to day maintenance. The current van is in dire need of retirement. Wish List Amount: $15,000
