Business Office & Billing

Business Office & Billing Information

In an effort to better serve our patients the patient accounting office has moved to the main lobby of the hospital. We will be available to assist patients with billing questions, financial assistance applications, payment arrangements, and payments.

Our office hours are:

Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm

If you have health insurance

All patients should be aware of the terms of their insurance coverage.  At the time of your visit, we will need a copy of your insurance card.  Based on your individual policy, you may be asked for a co-pay or a deposit.

If you are a member of an HMO or PPO:

HMOs or PPOs may have special requirements, such as second opinions for a procedure or limited providers in their network.  It is your responsibility to ensure the requirements of your plan have been met.  If your plan is not followed, you may be financially responsible for all or part of the services you receive.

If you have Medicare or Medicaid:

We will need a copy of your insurance card at the time of your visit to verify eligibility.  Each of these programs has limitations on their coverage.  For information on Medicare coverage click here.  For information on Medicaid coverage in Washington State, click here.  You are responsible for any deductibles and/or co-payments for the services provided.

If you do not have coverage:

If you do not have medical insurance coverage, or need assistance with your medical bills, a QVMC financial services staff member will be happy to assist you.  To view our Financial Assistance application and policy, please click here.  Contact our Business Office at (509) 787-3531 for further information.

Quincy Valley Medical Center Laboratory and X-ray Services:

During your visit at SageView Clinic, your provider may recommend Laboratory and/or X-Ray services.  The Laboratory and X-Ray departments are part of the Quincy Valley Hospital and are therefore billed as hospital services.  If these tests are performed you will receive statements from the following:

  1. Your provider for your office visit
  2. Quincy Valley Medical Center for your lab and/or X-Ray service

If you have a deductible for hospital services, Lab and X-Ray charges will be subject to that hospital deductible.  Once your insurance processes the claims, you will receive a statement of any balances due.

Understanding your bill:

We understand that medical insurance and billing can be confusing.  Please contact the Quincy Valley Medical Center Business Office for help with

  • Questions regarding your bill
  • Access to medical care coverage
  • Applying for discounted for free care

Many doctors (including specialists such as orthopedics, podiatry or massage therapy), medical transport companies and labs are separate businesses with their own billing and accounting procedures.  If you receive a bill from them and have questions, please contact the business directly.
