+ QVMC Memory Garden

At Quincy Valley Medical Center, our goal is to provide compassionate, quality care to all individuals in our facility.  In an effort to achieve that goal for our long-term residents the QVMC Vision Committee has begun the project of creating a Memory Garden in the grass area on the northern area of property.

The goal in the creation of the Memory Garden is to provide our residents, their friends and family, a beautiful, peaceful area which they may enjoy from the patio, see through their windows, or stroll through the garden at their leisure.

The focus of the Memory Garden are two evergreen trees located on the east and west corners.  In the winter season these trees will be filled with lights and decorated with ornaments donated by various individuals involved with QVMC.  Engraved on these ornaments are the names of family members and friends.  There are four different ornament styles which may be obtained any time throughout the year for $10.  These donated funds will go to the Memory Garden project to fulfill the needs of the garden.  To make a donation please contact Candy Erickson at 509-787-5367.

There are still many items which we would like to include in the QVMC Memory Garden.  Some of these items are:

•   Solar lights

•   Garden ornaments

•   Outdoor furniture

•   Perennial plants

•   Plant fertilizer

•   Bird houses

•   Concrete edging

•   Christmas lawn decorations

We will also accept monetary contributions to help us obtain the items listed above.
